Yummy Vegetable Soup

Ingredients

  • l lb beef stew meat, cut into small pieces
  • 2 T oil
  • 3/4 c chopped onion
  • 9 c water
  • 3 T beef instant bouillon
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1/2 tsp basil leaves
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 1 1/2 c sliced carrots
  • 1 1/2 c sliced celery
  • 1 (16 oz) can stewed tomatoes
  • 4 oz medium noodles
  1. Brown beef and onion in oil. Add water, bouillon, bay leaf, basil and pepper. Cover and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer one hour and a half.
  2. Add vegetables. Cook 15 minutes
  3. Remove bay leaf. Add noodles. Cook until noodles are tender.
