Vanilla Rice Pudding

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 2 1/4 cups soft bread crumbs
  • 1 1/2 cups rice
  • 2 tsps margarine
  • 5-8 cups dry milk
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/3 cup dried whole egg

STEP BY STEP:

 

  1. Mix bread crumbs or use 1 1/2 cups rice and margarine together
  2. Reconstitute milk with 2 1/2 cup hot water or use 2 1/2 cups hot milk otherwise 2 eggs
  3. Mix with crumbs. Sift together egg, sugar, and salt
  4. Slowly stir the milk mixture into dry ingredients, blend until smooth
  5. Add vanilla and raisins. Pour into a greased, shallow baking dish
  6. Set pan of hot water on bottom shelf of oven
  7. Place pudding in oven and bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
