Vanilla Buttermilk Pie

Ingredients

  • 4 Eggs
  • 1-3/4 Cups granulated sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 Tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 Cup buttermilk
  • 1 9-inch unbaked pie shell
  • 1/3 Cup walnuts, chopped (optional)
  1. Beat eggs in medium bowl with electric mixer. Add sugar, butter, flour, vanilla and salt and mix well. Reduce mixer speed; slowly add buttermilk and blend well. Pour filling into pie shell
  2. Sprinkle walnuts on top, if desired
  3. Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes or until knife comes out clean and top is golden
  4. Keep refrigerated.
