1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup cornstarch
1 2/3 cups water
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 tsp Clabber Girl Baking Powder
Mix together flour, cornstarch, salt and baking powder. Beat together egg and water; add to dry mixture. Let stand for at leaset 10 minutes before dipping meat. The mixture will thicken slightly.
Dip meat into mixture and coat thoroughly; fry in 1/2″ hot oil, at least 3 minutes on both sides. When cooking chicken, make sure chicken is thoroughly cooked.
