Simple Sugar Cream Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 2 cups milk or half and half
  • 1 stick oleo or butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • sprinkle of nutmeg
  1. Cook sugar, cornstarch, and milk until thick. Remove from heat. Stir in butter and vanilla. Pour into 8″ or 9″ baked pie shell. Sprinkle with nutmeg
  2. Bake 10 minutes at 400º or until bubbly or it sets
