Simple Salisbury Steak

1 pound ground beef
1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1 small onion, finely chopped (about 1/4 cup)
1 egg, beaten
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 can (10 1/4 ounces) Franco-American® Beef Gravy
1. Mix beef, bread crumbs, onion, egg and water thoroughly. Shape firmly into 4 patties, 1/2 inch thick.
2. In medium skillet over medium-high heat, heat oil. Add patties and cook until browned. Pour off fat.
3. Add gravy. Heat to a boil. Reduce heat to low. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until patties are no longer pink (160°F.). Serves 4.
VARIATION: Substitute 1 can (10 1/2 ounces) Franco-American® Mushroom Gravy for Franco-American® Beef Gravy.
VARIATION: Serve patties and gravy on 4 slices bread.
