Savory Butternut Sauté

Ingredients

  • 1 (2-Pound) butternut squash, peeled and cut into 1/4-inch slices
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • Dash salt
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  1. Place squash in single layer on a large platter or baking sheet.
  2. Sprinkle with basil, brown sugar, and salt. Let stand for 30 minutes.
  3. Melt butter in a skillet; add squash, turning pieces to coat with butter. Cover and cook over low heat 15 to 20 minutes or until tender.
