Sausage Bean Stew

Ingredients

  • 4 C. chicken broth
  • 3 (16 oz,) cans favorite beans-pinto, kidney, butter, etc.
  • 3 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery ribs, diced
  • 1 lb. smoked sausage
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1/2 Cup pearl barley
  • 1/2 Cup dried lentils
  1. Slice sausage into 1/2 inch thick slices
  2. In a 4 qt. Dutch oven, place all ingredients
  3. Cover and cook over medium heat for 45-60 minutes or till barley and lentils are tender. Stir frequently or it will stick
