Rosy Stew Pot-CP

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 small onion, halved lengthwise and slivered
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp caraway seeds
  • 1 cup diced carrots
  • 1 cup diced parsnips
  • 1 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1 cup diced potatoes
  • 1 can (15-oz) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup beef broth
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • Cooked egg noodles
  1. Place all ingredients except the noodles in the crockpot and stir well.
  2. Cover and cook on high for 5 hours or until the meat is tender.
  3. Serve immediately over egg noodles
