Potato Noodle Soup

3 strips bacon, browned and crumbled
4 cups water
1 lb. frozen diced potatoes, or 1 1/4 lb. whole potatoes, diced
1/2 stick margarine (4 Tablespoons)
1/4 lb. pkg. noodles
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of celery soup
1 cup milk
snipped parsley to garnish

Brown bacon in large skillet; drain and crumble. Add water, potatoes, margarine and salt. Bring to a boil. Add noodles and cook 20 minutes or until potatoes and noodles are tender. Add celery soup and pepper. Stir until well blended. Add milk and simmer a few minutes. Serve hot and garnish with parsley. You may add 1/2 cup diced carrots to give it color. Add carrots with the potatoes. Add additional liquid if desired.
