Potato Apple Pancakes


3 c. grated, pared raw potatoes
1/2 c. grated pared apples
1/2 c. chopped onion
3 eggs
1/2 c. flour
1/8 tsp. ground mace
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
Vegetable oil
Ground nutmeg


Rinse potatoes in cold water, drain. Mix potatoes, apples, onion, eggs, flour, mace, salt and pepper. Heat 2 tbsp. oil in large skillet until hot. Fry potato mixture using 1/3 cup for each pancake, adding oil as necessary. Sprinkle with nutmeg.
