Pork Chop And Apple Skillet

4 pork chops, 1 inch thick, salted and peppered
2/3 c. light brown sugar
2/3 c. apple cider
2 med. cooking apples, halved and cored
1/4 c. raisins
2 tbsp. cornstarch
2 tbsp. apple cider
1/4 c. chopped pecans
Sear chops on high, both sides. Stir brown sugar and cider, pour over chops. Cover, simmer 10 minutes. Top each chop with an apple half. Baste chops with sauce, cover, simmer 10 minutes. Add raisins. Thicken with cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons of cider. Serve on platter with rest of apples stuffed with raisins and garnish with pecans
