Pickled Mustard Eggs

Ingredients

  • 24 whole cloves
  • 6 hard-cooked eggs
  • 2 cups vinegar, plus 1 Tbsp. vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground mustard (mixed with the 1 Tbsp. vinegar)
  1. Shell eggs and stick 4 cloves into each
  2. Heat 2 cups vinegar to a boil
  3. When boiling, add salt, pepper and ground mustard, mixed with the 1 Tbsp. cold vinegar
  4. Put eggs in glass jar and pour the boiling vinegar over them
  5. Cover and let stand in refrigerator 2 weeks before using
