Oven Fried Chicken

Description¬†My husband and son are very very picky eaters and do not like spice in their food. They prefer food to be bland as I like it to have a little flavor. I came across this recipe and tried it. My husband and son can\’t get enough of it!!!

2 adults and 1

400g chicken breast strips (skinless & boneless)

35 Ritz crackers

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper

2 Tablespoons butter or margarine

3 Tablespoons milk

1 large or 2 medium egg(s)


1)- Preheat oven 180 Celsius / 375 Fahrenheit.

2)- Lightly grease a baking dish.

3)- Crush Ritz crackers into fine crumbs

4)- Mix in salt, paprika, and black pepper with crackers crumbs.

5)- In a separate bowl beat egg(s) and add milk.

6)- Melt butter or margarine.

7)- Dip chicken in milk/egg mixture then coat in crackers mixture.

8)- Put chicken in baking dish and drizzle melted butter or margarine over chicken.

9)- Put in oven for 45-60 minutes.

Additional Tips
I use my food processor to crumble my crackers. If you don\’t have a food processor you can put the crackers into a zip lock bag with the air taken out and roll over them with a rolling pin. Crumbs should be like like very fine bread crumbs.

When melting butter I put it in a mug and cover the mug with a damp paper towel and melt it in the microwave oven. The damp paper towel stops splatter.
