Mrs. Paul’s Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 package (20 oz) candied sweet potatoes, partially thawed and diced
  • 1 10-inch pie crust, unbaked
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • dash of salt
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ginger
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 cup of milk
  1. Preheat oven to 350°
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Gradually add diced sweet potatoes and blend until smooth. Add spices and milk to the mixture, mixing well
  3. Pour into unbaked pie crust
  4. Bake for approximately 1-1/2 hours or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean
