Mashed Potatoes with Sautéed Onion & Garlic Gravy

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 medium onion, chopped (about 1/2 cup)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 can (10 1/4 ounces) Franco-American® Beef Gravy
4 cups hot mashed potatoes
In medium saucepan over medium heat, heat oil. Add onion and garlic and cook until tender. Add gravy and heat through. Serve over potatoes. Serves 4.
TIP: In medium saucepan place 2 pounds potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch pieces. Cover with water. Add salt if desired. Over high heat, heat to a boil. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook 10 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Drain. Mash potato with 3/4 cup milk and 2 tablespoons margarine or butter.
TIP: Follow package directions on instant mashed potato flakes or buds to make 4 cups potatoes.
