Lemon Tea Bread

Ingredients
3 tablespoons margarine or butter
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups pecans, chopped
2 teaspoons lemon rind, grated

Powdered Sugar Glaze
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 cup pecan halves

Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter, sugar and eggs. In a separate bowl, combine flour, Clabber Girl Baking Powder and salt. Mix into creamed mixture alternately with milk. Mix in chopped pecans and grated lemon rind. Pour batter into one 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.

Glaze:
Mix powdered sugar and lemon juice to make glaze consistency.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
When cake is cooled, drizzle glaze over top and garnish with pecan halves.
Makes 2 loaves.
