Key Lime Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 can condensed milk
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1/2 cup key lime juice
  • 6 Tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Cream of Tartar
  • 1 baked pie shell
  1. Whisk together milk, lime juice and 4 egg yolks
  2. Beat 1 egg white until stiff. Fold into above mixture and pour into pie shell
  3. Beat remaining 3 egg whites, gradually adding sugar and cream of tartar. Beat until stiff peaks form
  4. Pile on top of pie, sealing to edges
  5. Bake at 350F until egg whites are golden brown
  6. Chill
