Japanese Fruit Cake


1 cup Butter
1 Teaspoon cloves
3 cups Flour
1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
2 cups Sugar
1 Teaspoon Allspice
4 eggs
1/4 pound chopped raisins
1 cup milk
1 cup chopped nuts
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder


Sift together. Baking Powder, Sugar, Flour and Spices, Three times. Add: to the butter, eggs and milk. Bake at 350 degrees, until toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Juice and grate the peel of two lemons.
1 Fresh Coconut
2 Cups Sugar
1 cup Boiling Water
Bring all ingredients to a boil.
Add: 1 teaspoon of cornstarch to 3 Tablespoons of water then add to mixture.
