3 cups Hodgson Mill cornmeal
2 teaspoons Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup water
1 egg, beaten
1 small onion, finely chopped
oil for deep frying
Combine cornmeal, Clabber Girl Baking Powder, salt and paprika; mix thoroughly. Add milk, water and beaten egg. Stir until ingredients are combined; add onion.
Drop by teasponfuls into hot oil and cook until evenly browned on all sides. Drain well on paper towels.
