Hot Bacon Cheese Dip

1 loaf round bread
12 slices bacon, cooked crisp and torn in pieces
8 oz. shredded colby/monterey jack cheese
4 oz. parmesan cheese, grated
1 cup mayonnaise
1 small onion, chopped fine
1 clove garlic, minced

Bread: cut lengthwise the top off the bread and remove the center, leaving 1-inch around the sides. Cut up the center part of the removed bread and lay aside. Mix remaining ingredients and spoon into the bread bowl. Place on cookie sheet

Bake at 350 degrees F. for 1 hour.

In the last 10 to 15 minutes of baking time, place the bread cubes on cookie sheet and toast. Serve this dip with the toasted bread cubes and crackers.

Makes about 3 1/2 cups dip
