Green Tea Steamed Rice
In this Japanese method of cooking rice, the liquid never comes to a full boil, which would reduce the amount of antioxidants. So, your rice will absorb not only the tea’s flavor and light brown hue, but also its healthful properties.
1 tablespoon canola oil
1 cup white sushi rice
1 cup Celestial Seasonings Authentic green tea
To make green tea, pour hot but not boiling water over teabags and steep for five minutes. Use one teabag for every 8 ounces (1 cup) of hot water. Combine ingredients in a small pot, cover, and cook on low heat for 25-30 minutes. Serves one to two.
