Easy-Glide Fondant Smoother
1 1/2 in. wide sheer polyester metallic striped ribbon (20 yds. Needed)
Ready-To-Use Rolled Fondant (6 pks. Needed)
Cut approximately 70 pieces of ribbon measuring 3 1/2 in. long; cut one end in a “v” shape. Make two bows using approximately 3 1/2 to 4 yards of ribbon each.
Prepare 2-layer cakes for rolled fondant. Cover with fondant and smooth with Easy-Glide Fondant Smoothers. (Hint: Keep cakes on cake boards until ribbon is attached to plate.)
Use 6 in., 10 in., and 14 in. cake boards as guides for positioning ribbon pieces. Position ribbon pieces and attach to plate with stiffened buttercream icing. Carefully position cakes on plates. Cut ribbon band measuring the diameter of each cake; attach with icing . Pipe tip 5 bead bottom borders. Pipe tip 1 picot (using rows of 3, 2, and 1 dots to form a triangle) above each ribbon on cake sides; spacing 3/4 in. apart. Attach bows to stand and position ornament.
