Flavor Enhanced Turkey
12 – 14 lb turkey (will serve approximately 12 adults)
3 Tbsp Cookies Flavor Enhancer
3 Tbsp garlic powder
Mix together the Cookies Flavor Enhancer and garlic powder. Add enough white wine to make a paste.
Remove neck and giblets. Wash turkey inside and out to make sure it is thoroughly clean. Pat dry. Rub the mixture of Cookies Flavor Enhancer and garlic powder and white wine over the outside and inside of turkey. Place in large food grade plastic bag. Place in refrigerator overnight. Place in large roaster pan, breast side down in 325º oven for approximately 2-1/2 to 3 hours until thermometer registers 180º in the thigh. Remove from oven and let stand 15-20 minutes before carving. Reserve pan juices for making the gravy.
HINT: Two wooden spoons work great for removing the turkey from the roaster pan.
