Farmer’s Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1/2 cup potatoes, diced
  • 1/4 cup carrots,sliced
  • 2 T green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 1 T margarine
  • dash of salt
  • 3 T flour
  • 1-1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  1. Boil water in medium sauce pan. Add bouillon cube; stir until dissolved. Add vegetables, margarine, and salt
  2. Bring to boil
  3. Reduce heat and simmer till vegetables are fork tender, about 10 minutes
  4. Mix flour and milk until smooth. Add flour mix to vegetables and cook for 3 minutes to thicken. Stir in cheese
  5. Heat until well blended and smooth
