Egg Custard Cake

Ingredients

  • 1 unbaked pie shell
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • nutmeg
  1. Scald milk
  2. Combine together sugar, salt, flour; stir into scalded milk to dissolve sugar and flour. Pour milk mixture over beaten eggs. Add vanilla
  3. Pour into pie shell
  4. Sprinkle with nutmeg
  5. Bake in pre-heated 400° oven until knife comes out clean (25 minutes)
