Cream Pie Filling

Ingredients

  • 3 C. milk
  • 3 egg yolks
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 3 T. flour
  • 3 T. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 T. butter
  1. Combine all ingredients, except vanilla & butter. Cook until boiling & thick. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
  2. Remove from heat, add vanilla & butter. Cool.
  3. Pour into 9 inch cooled pie shell
