Country Lima Bean & Cabbage Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 lb dried baby lima beans, rinsed
  • 8 cups chicken broth, or bouillon
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh marjoram
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp dried red-pepper flakes, crushed
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 3 cups shredded cabbage
  1. In a slow-cooker or crock-pot, combine all ingredients.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 11 hours or until beans are tender.
  3. Ladle into individual bowls
