Country Blackberry Cobbler

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cube butter melted
  • 1-1/2 c sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 c flour
  • dash salt
  • 2 c water
  • 3 c blackberries
  1. Combine 1 c sugar, baking powder, flour, and salt. Add enough milk to make a thin batter. Put melted butter in a 9×13″ baking dish. Pour mixture over butter.
  2. Top with blackberries and sprinkle with remaining sugar. Pour 2 c water over berries.
  3. Bake 425° for 30 minutes. After a few minutes in the oven, dough will rise up through the berries. When this happens sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon and finish baking
  4. Serve warm with milk or whipped cream.
