2 cups sifted flour
2 1/2 teaspoons Rumford Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 cup milk
1/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup chopped maraschino cherries
1/2 cup creme de menthe cherries, chopped
1. Sift flour, Rumford Baking Powder, salt and sugar together.
2. Combine beaten egg, milk and butter and add to dry ingredients, stirring only until moistened.
3. Fold in chopped cherries.
4. Fill greased muffin pans 2/3 full and bake in moderately hot oven (400° F.) 20-25 minutes.
Makes 12 muffins.
