Chocolate Chunk Cake
1/2 cup shortening
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, well beaten
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate (cut in cubes)
2/3 cup chopped walnuts
1/2 cup finely cut dried prunes
2 cups sifted flour
3 teaspoons Rumford Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup water
1. Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, creaming until light and fluffy.
2. Add eggs and mix well.
3. Fold in chocolate, nuts and prunes.
4. Sift flour, Rumford Baking Powder and salt together and add alternately with the water to the creamed mixture. Beat only until smooth.
5. Pour into greased tube pan and bake in moderate oven (350° F.) 60 to 70 minutes. Cover with Jiffy Chocolate Frosting.
