Chocolate Cherry Bars
2/3 cup margarine or butter, melted
1 1/2 cups sugar
3/4 cup cocoa powder
1 taspoon vanilla
1/2 cup milk
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon Clabber Girl Baking Powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 can (21 oz.) cherry pie filling
In a saucepan melt margarine; stir in sugar, cocoa powder, eggs and vanilla. Beat mixture until just combined and stir in milk. Add flour, Clabber Girl Baking Powder and baking soda. Beat until combined. Add cherry pie filling. Spread into a greased 15×10-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 to 25 minutes.
Makes 12 to 15 cookie bars.
