Chocolate And Hazelnut Cake

INGREDIENTS:

 

  • 1/2 lb dark chocolate
  • 1.25 oz butter
  • 1 oz sugar
  • 1/4 cup strong fresh coffee
  • 4 eggs separated
  • 1.25 oz ground hazelnuts

STEP BY STEP:

 

  1. Icing sugar to sprinkle over cake. Can serve with thick cream, or cover with melted chocolate
  2. Combine chocolate, butter, sugar & Coffee in saucepan and stir over low heat until dissolved. Remove from heat and stir in egg yolks and nuts
  3. Whisk egg whites until firm and fold gently into chocolate mixture. Pour into a buttered 20cm baking pan
  4. Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees F.
