Chip Dip Bacon Delight Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. smoked flavored bacon
  • 1 lb. loaf round bread – rye, pumpernickel or sourdough
  • 1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
  • 1 carton (16 oz.)sour cream
  • 1 can (4 oz.) chopped green chiles, drain
  • 6 green onions, chopped
  1. Cook bacon until crisp
  2. Drain; crumble and set aside
  3. Cut top off bread to form a cover
  4. Remove bread inside loaf, leave a 1/2″ shell of bread
  5. Cut removed bread in 1″ cubes, set aside
  6. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, chiles & green onions
  7. Stir in crumbled bacon
  8. Spoon mixture into bread and replace bread top
  9. Wrap bread in heavy aluminum foil
  10. Bake at 350 for 1-1/4 hours
  11. Serve bread bowl with reserved bread cubes for dipping
