Chile Salsa

Ingredients

  • 1 can peeled tomatoes
  • 1 fresh red chili
  • 1 fresh jalapeno chili
  • 1 small yellow onion
  • 1/2 green or red bell pepper
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  1. Pour juice from tomatoes into blender. Chop onion and chilies. Add half of chopped onion and chilies to blender and blend. Add spices; blend. Add remaining onion and chilies, blend.

 

Note:
For really hot salsa, add more chilies to taste.
For a more mild salsa, substitute Ortega green chilies for the fresh jalapeno chili.
