Chile Con Carne (Chile with Meat)

1/2 cup chopped onion
1 pound gound beef
2 cups tomato sauce*
2 cups pinto beans
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup Red Chile Powder*
2 cups water, approximately


Fry onions and beef in a medium sized skillet at medium heat until beef is browned. Drain. Add remaining ingredients and simmer at low heat for approximately 30 minutes. Add 2 sausages sliced after simmering for 10 minutes. Cover and simmer for the remaining 20 minutes

* Various amounts may be used.
