Chicken Liver Specialty
- 1 lb chicken livers
- 1/4 c flour
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 2 T butter
- 1 can (3 oz) sliced mushrooms
- 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- Shake chicken livers, a few at a time, in mixture of flour, salt and pepper in plastic bag to coat evenly.
- Brown in butter in large skillet over low heat.
- Stir in mushrooms with liquid, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Cover loosely, cook slowly 10 minutes or just until liquid is absorbed.
