Chicken Liver Specialty

Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken livers
  • 1/4 c flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 T butter
  • 1 can (3 oz) sliced mushrooms
  • 1 1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  1. Shake chicken livers, a few at a time, in mixture of flour, salt and pepper in plastic bag to coat evenly.
  2. Brown in butter in large skillet over low heat.
  3. Stir in mushrooms with liquid, and Worcestershire sauce.
  4. Cover loosely, cook slowly 10 minutes or just until liquid is absorbed.
