Chicken In Wine

Ingredients

  • 3-4 broiler-fryer cut in pieces
  • 4 T. flour
  • 4 T. veg. or olive oil
  • 1 sm. sliced onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/4 t. salt
  • 1/8 t. pepper
  • 2 T. minced parsley
  • 1-1/2 cups dry Sauterne wine
  1. Place chicken and flour in large bag and shake to lightly coat.
  2. Brown chicken on all sides in oil in 12″ heavy skillet or Dutch oven, about 15 minutes
  3. Combine rest of ingredients in small bowl and pour over chicken.
  4. Cover and simmer 1 hour or until tender
  5. Remove bay leaves before serving
