Chicken Fingers

Ingredients

  • 6 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1-1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder Oil for frying
  1. Cut the chicken into 2 inch strips; place in a large resealable bag
  2. Combine egg, buttermilk and garlic powder; pour over chicken
  3. Seal and refrigerate for 2-4 hours
  4. In another large resealable bag; combine flour, bread crumbs, salt and baking powder
  5. Drain chicken, discarding buttermilk mixture
  6. Place chicken in bag with the flour mixture; seal and shake to coat
  7. In a large electric skillet, heat oil to 375 degrees
  8. Fry the chicken in batches for 4-5 minutes or until golden brown
