Cherry Tartletts

Ingredients
CRUST:
1 cup margarine
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
FILLING:
1 8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar

TOPPING:
1 can prepared fruit pie filling, such as cherry, blueberry, apple, etc.

Instructions
CRUST:
Cream together margarine and cream cheese. In a separate bowl combine dry ingredients. Slowly add dry ingredients to creamed mixture and mix well. Wrap in plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours (overnight is best).

FILLING:
Cream mixture together thoroughly.

Tartlett shells:

Divide chilled dough into 48 balls about the size of walnuts. Place each in a 2-inch muffin cup which has been sprayed with cooking spray, or line with store-bought paper liners. Press dough into bottom and along sides of cup. Prick bottoms with fork and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.

Fill with filling mixture and top with fruit filling

Yield: 48 tartletts
