- 1 C. flour
- 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 T. shortening
- 1/2 C. finely grated American cheese
- 1/3 C. milk
- Sift dry ingredients together.
- Cut in shortening and cheese using knives or a pastry blender until like coarse corn meal.
- Add milk and mix well.
- Roll dough to about 1/8″ thickness, sprinkle with paprika then cut into strips 3″ long and 1/4″ wide.
- Bake on a greased cookie sheet at 425° for 8-10 minutes
