Carbon’s Golden Malted Chocolate Cupcakes
2 – 1 oz. unsweetened chocolate sq.
1/4 cup shortening
3/4 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 cup Carbon’s Golden Malted Flour
1/2 cup milk
Melt the chocolate over low heat; cool. Cream the shortening and the sugar. Add the eggs one at a time and beat until light. Stir in chocolate and vanilla. Add flour to the chocolate mixture alternatively with the milk. Spoon the batter into cupcake pans lined with paper liners. Makes approximately 12-18 cupcakes.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15-18 minutes, or until cupcakes test done with a wooden pick. Let cool for 5 minutes then remove from pan and cool completely before frosting.
