Butterscotch Nut Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1-1/2 Tbsp melted butter
  • 2 Cups sifted flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 3/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 Cup sour milk
  • 1/2 Cup chopped walnuts
  1. Mix sugar and egg. Add butter.
  2. Sift dry ingredients and add alternately with milk to the sugar mixture. Add nuts.
  3. Turn into a well-greased loaf pan, top with whole nuts
  4. Bake 1 hour at 350°
