  • 1 chicken cut for frying
  • 3 Tbsp lard
  • 1 Cup flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • 1 medium onion, minced
  • 2 Cups fresh corn kernels
  • 2 Cups fresh lima beans
  1. Melt fat in large skillet to smoking point
  2. Place chicken which has been dredged in flour, salt and pepper in skillet and brown well on all sides. Remove chicken from skillet and place in a kettle

  4. Place on low heat and simmer for 2 hours.
  5. Add corn and limas to the kettle about 20 minutes before serving
