Brown Sugar Pie

Ingredients

  • 2 c brown sugar
  • 1/4 c margarine
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/16 tsp salt
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 unbaked (8 inch) pie shells

 

  1. Cream brwon sugar and margarine together until light and fluffy.
  2. Mix in flour, cinnamon, cream of tartar and salt.  Add eggs and beat well; add to brown sugar and butter mixture.
  3. Slowly beat in milk and vanilla.
  4. Pour into pie shells and bake at 375 for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
