Broccoli Soup

Ingredients

  • 2 (10oz) packages broccoli, chopped
  • 3/4 cup onion, chopped
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp butter
  • 6 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 6 cups milk
  • 1 lb Velvetta cheese
  • 1 (6-oz) pkg. fine egg noodles or 3/4 cup minute rice (uncooked)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  1. Cook chopped broccoli according to package directions; set aside
  2. Saute onion in butter. Add chicken bouillon cubes with water bring to a boil. Add noodles (or) rice
  3. Cook uncovered for 3 minutes. Stir in brocolli and broth, garlic and pepper. Cook 3 more minutes
  4. Add milk and cheese. Stir until cheese melts
