Black-eyed Pea Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 (14 oz.) cans black-eyed peas, drained
  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped green peppers
  • 1/2 clove garlic (on toothpick to be removed before serving)
  • or substitute garlic powder to taste
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup salad oil
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • dash of pepper
  • dash of hot pepper sauce
  1. Combine all ingredients and marinate 24 hours, covered in refrigerator.
