  • 2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp baking soda
  • 6 tbsp butter or margarine, softened
  • 2/3 cup mashed banana
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp warm water



  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a large bowl
  2. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse meal. Add the banana and blend well
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve the honey in the warm water
  4. Slowly add the honey/water to the flour/banana mixture and blend to form a dough that will hold together in a ball
  5. Divide the dough into 2 equal portions and roll the dough thinly
  6. Cut into circles using a cookie cutter
  7. Arrange crackers on a lightly greased cookie sheet
  8. Prick each cracker in 2 or 3 places with the tines of a fork
  9. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until medium brown, turning over once during baking. Cool on a rack.
