Baked Beef Heart

Ingredients

  • 1 large beef heart
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 small onion, cut up
  • 4 cups dry bread cubes
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 tbsp diced onion
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp poultry seasoning
  1. Cut heart into quarters
  2. Place heart, water and onion in pressure cooker
  3. Cook for 45 minutes; cool
  4. Cut heart into small pieces
  5. Place in small greased roaster
  6. Place bread cubes, butter, celery, diced onion, salt & poultry seasoning in bowl
  7. Pour juice from meat in pressure cooker over ingredients in bowl
  8. Mix well; add more water if necessary
  9. Place dressing over heart in roaster
  10. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes
