Asparagus Hot Casserole
3 hard cooked eggs
1 (No. 2) can asparagus or fresh asparagus
1 1/2 to 2 c. chicken or tuna fish
1/3 c. buttered crumbs
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 1 cup milk until smooth. Add 2 tablespoons margarine, 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Fill well-oiled baking dish with layers of sliced eggs, chicken or tuna fish and asparagus. Season with salt and pepper. Add white sauce; cover with buttered crumbs. Bake in 350 degree oven until sauce bubbles.
